Prosper Partnership updates

Good Morning all

I am PS Carl McCoy and I am leading the Prosper Partnership operationally. For those who have access to Social media, you would have seen that the partnership and public launch have now taken place. Many thanks to those that attended and for me it was a really enjoyable day.

The team are now raring to go and we are now in the infancy stages of the Clear phase. We have been slowly chipping away at some of the issues that have already been raised by the community, which are Road safety and Drug activity. We executed a drugs warrant last week and although we didn't find any drugs, it was still impactive on the community and shows you that we are listening. We followed this up in discovering a cannabis factory on Chatham street Nelson where one person was arrested. This person has been bailed pending further enquiries. It is evident that drugs activity is taking place within our area and this will probably come as no surprise. We want to hear from you should you know of any drug activity whether that be a particular area where it is taking place or an address where you have suspicions.

In respect of Road safety, we have been out stopping vehicles in hotspot areas and targeting those that want to drive anti socially. We know this is an issue and we want our roads to be safe for you. You can inform us via our dedicated email address East-opprosper@lancashire.police.uk or through Crimestoppers or you can ring 101.

We would love to hear from you and i would also like to take this opportunity to understand more about what you think about Bradley, Whitefield and Brierfield, which is our dedicated area.

Please take a couple of minutes to open up the following survey via the below link. This is a community led operation so let us know so that we can work together.

I will endeavour to keep you updated throughout the operation and if you see us out and about then come and say hello

Many thanks
